Flokati Films is excited to announce Director Al Topich's The Town Where Nobody Live is an Official Selection of the Humphrey Bogart Film Festival, where it will compete in the Student Short Film Festival!
"The 2015 Humphrey Bogart Film Festival will take place October 21-25, 2015 in Key Largo, Florida. This year the festival honors the very best of Bogie’s films and celebrates the life of his wife, the beautiful Lauren Bacall. Host Stephen Bogart, son of Bogie and Bacall, will be joined by co-host Eddie Muller and special guest Monika Henreid. We expect to announce additional special guests soon. Eddie Muller, known internationally as the "Czar of Noir," is an acclaimed novelist, biographer and film historian. He is the founder and president of the Film Noir Foundation, which rescues, restores and exhibits at-risk examples of the genre. Each Friday night during June-July 2015, he hosts the "Summer of Darkness," a festival of film noir, on Turner Classic Movies. Monika Henreid is a documentary filmmaker and the daughter of Paul Henreid, who of course played Victor Laszlo in Casablanca. We will celebrate and explore film noir both in a round table discussion led by Eddie Muller and through showings of the very best films from our first ever Student Film Competition.
Special events (description below schedule) includes a Costume or Casual Cocktail Reception, a Bogart Block Party, a Seaside Soirée dinner and dance party, and a Closing Brunch. Each special event offers attendees the opportunity to mingle and converse with Stephen Bogart, Eddie Muller, Monika Henreid, and our other special guests in the exquisite island paradise of Key Largo!"
